My mother-in-law was visiting, and after she left, our dog started growling and scratching the ground: I began digging where he was barking and found something horrifying đ±đ±

My husband and I live in a village â itâs quiet and peaceful. He works on a farm, and I stay at home, tending to the garden and the household. My mother-in-law lives in the city with her younger son â and to be honest, weâve never gotten along. She didnât accept me from day one. Always giving judgmental looks or making sarcastic comments. But I endured it â for my husbandâs sake. Besides, the distance helped â we didnât see her often.

But recently, she suddenly said she wanted to âget away from the city hustleâ and came to stay with us for a week. Claimed she missed us. I had a bad feeling about it, but again â my husband insisted.
From the very first days, she started criticizing everything I did. The soup was too salty, the curtains werenât ironed, and she said I was raising our 5-year-old daughter the wrong way. She constantly provoked arguments and even managed to drive a wedge between me and my husband. One night, I broke down crying â I just wanted it all to end.
When she finally left, I sighed with relief. But the very next day, something strange started happening.
Our dog, Bucks â the kindest, smartest dog â suddenly began acting aggressive. He growled at the empty garden, ran in circles, and started scratching the dirt near one of the garden beds, barking and digging. I tried to stop him â he wouldnât listen. He just stared at me and kept going.
The next day, it continued. I couldnât take it anymore â I grabbed a shovel. My heart was pounding. A dog doesnât dig and growl for no reason. Something was scaring him. I started digging where he was barking.
And then the ground collapsed. I froze. Sticking out of the earth was⊠đ±đ± To be continued in the first comment đđ

âŠa black bag. Tied shut. My heart skipped a beat as I pulled it out.
Inside â a terrible smell and strange items: clumps of hair, an old childâs dress (not my daughterâs!), a doll with a broken head, and â a bundle of photos of me, my husband, and our daughter⊠with the eyes scratched out.
A chill ran down my spine. I realized this was something occult â maybe even a curse. Who couldâve done it?
There was only one answer â my mother-in-law. She was the only one who had been in our yard. The only one who could have buried it while I was cooking or with our child.
I didnât know what to do. I brought the bag to a church. The priest said it was âa curse meant to destroy a family.â
I never believed in such things, but what happened with our dog, and everything my mother-in-law said and did those last days⊠it all fit into one terrifying picture.

Since then, Iâve forbidden her from ever setting foot in our home again. I told my husband everything. At first, he didnât believe me â but then he saw the photos and the bag I had kept as proof. He was silent for a long time.
And since then, our dog only sleeps at the door â as if guarding us.
I donât know what exactly my mother-in-law intended, but Iâm certain of one thing: she will never cross the threshold of our home again.
What do you think â am I overreacting? Could it be something else?
