Sometimes love makes us do wild things.
While on vacation in Mexico, a man never expected his trip to take such a turn. Wandering through a small town, he stumbled across a litter of stray puppies. Among them was one—tiny, scrappy, with curious eyes—that tugged on his heart in a way he couldn’t ignore.
He decided then and there: this little pup was coming home with him.
But when he reached the border, reality hit. Officials told him the rules—no dog under a year old without a full set of vaccinations could be brought across. There was no paperwork fast enough, no vet visit that could bend time. For most people, that would have been the end of it.
Frustrated, he half-joked with an officer, “If I had a plane, I’d just fly him myself.”
But it wasn’t just a joke. The man already had his pilot’s license. And the more he thought about it, the crazier it sounded—but also, the more possible.
So he did it. He went out and bought a small plane. Weeks later, he returned to Mexico, the pup waiting for him. They lifted off together, side by side in the cockpit—two souls bound not by chance, but by determination. The sky became their escape route, their loophole, their freedom.
Today, that once-homeless puppy isn’t just safe—he’s home. All because someone refused to take “no” for an answer.
It turns out, when love is the engine, even the sky isn’t too high a price.
