During the wedding, the dog suddenly bit the bride’s hand: realizing why the dog did that, the groom called off the wedding.
That day was supposed to be perfect: flowers, music, guests in their elegant suits, and the sparkling white wedding dress. The groom looked happy, with his loyal dog named Roy by his side, whom he had trained to accompany him everywhere. Roy was a calm, kind dog, a true friend that the man even considered a family member.
But the bride clearly didn’t like Roy. She frowned when the dog got too close, complained that he “smelled like a dog,” and demanded that he be kept away. The groom tried to smooth things over, saying that Roy wouldn’t interfere with the celebration, but the bride was firmly set against it.
During the celebration, the bride became increasingly provocative: she snapped at the groom’s mother, rudely mocked a gift from one of the guests, and then began drinking champagne excessively. The groom felt awkward about her behavior, but he tried to stay calm — after all, it was a special day.
But soon, something unexpected happened. he dog suddenly bit the bride’s hand, even though it had always been calm and affectionate before. The bride screamed, grabbed a bottle to hit the dog, but then the groom intervened. When he realized why the dog had bitten the bride, he simply called off the wedding. To be continued in the first comment.
The climax occurred when Roy was calmly standing next to his owner. The bride approached the dog and, looking straight into the groom’s eyes, purposely stepped on Roy’s tail. The dog yelped and, in a defensive reaction, bit the bride’s hand. Everyone froze.
The bride screamed in pain, grabbed a bottle from the table, and raised it, preparing to hit the dog.
“Don’t touch my dog, you provoked her!” the groom said sharply.
“I accidentally stepped on its tail!” the bride shouted, her face twisted with anger.
“Accidentally?” the groom looked her straight in the eyes. “Did you also ‘accidentally’ want to hit him with the bottle?”
The bride was stunned, trying to explain:
“I didn’t realize what I was doing, my hand hurt. It’s all because of the shock.”
The groom knelt next to Roy, who was trembling and pressing his ears down.
“What shock?” he said coldly. “Do you always hit those who are weaker?”
The bride stood, clutching her injured hand, but had no words.
The groom stood up and said in a calm voice:
“There will be no wedding.”
He hugged Roy tightly, who licked his hand as if thanking him for protecting him, while the guests, still in shock, exchanged looks.
What do you think? Did the groom do the right thing?
